lifting my dakota

i have a 2001 dodge dakota and i want a lift kit but the only one i have founf is a 3 inch but tuff country makes a 5.5 inch lift kik for the 1997-1999 dakota. i was wondering if i did some costum work would it work? and how much costum work would i have to do?

I just lifted my 99 dakota4x4.I only found Rancho 3"suspension lift.I didn't find any other companies
that make a lift kit for 4x4 dakotas.There are some for 4x2.

If you going to lift it do it right the first time. Everyone told me to long travle my dakota instead of putting the fabtech 3" lift. I should have listened. I am getting ready to have a custom long travle buile for my truck. If you looking just for a lift nothing much, Fabtech, Rancho, and Tuff Country are the ones i found. Also you can get the Fabtech lift and have belsteins shocks in instead. Thats what i have for my front end.
