Automatic transmission noise

Hi, I've noticed that whenever my atx shifts, there is a slight chitter type noise. Sounds kind of like a rattlesnake. Anyone know if this is normal? Thanks John 2000 Voyager SE, 3.3L, ATX, 30,000 miles.
