rev limiter

i was just wondering if there was a way you can take the rev limiter or something off so you can make your car rev higher, i have a 98 taurus SE and it only revs to about 4000 rpms, i want it to rev higher

Why do you want it to revv higher,So you can blow the motor?

If you're revving in in Park it won't rev any higher. It's built into the ECM.

I am with sk8ter on this one.

Yes you can remove the rev limiter you need a chip programmed or reflashed
