Surges at Idle....

This post is for a friend in Canada.......
1999 Trooper V-6 FI .........New Fuel Pump, filter, tuneup..etc....

The vehicle surges 1K-2K rpm) on start up for 3 or 4 time then quits....but not all the time.
Otherwise drives fine....Does it hot or cold.
No codes or errors....no backfire, missing, stumbling...
Any ideas are greatly appreicated...?????

ck intake gaskets and egr port and intake gaskets

Yep. this is most likely a bad intake manifold gasket.

Thanks guys......I agree...since the gaskets were just recently replaced... it leads me to believe it is a leak!!!
I will have it checked out and let you know the results!!!!

I have a 2000 Trooper and at times it stall and tries to shutt off the car but if I give it gas it does fine it doesn't doit all the time can you help me .
