I heard the FD does not have a perfect 50 50 weight distribution

Hi, i'm new here. My questions is, does the FD really have a perfect 50 50 weight distribution? My friend at school told me it doesn't, but the FC has a 48 52 distribution?????? I'm confused.

print this out and show your friend that hes a queer and doesn't have any idea what hes talking about.

and as far as the FD goes... who cares? FC's are way cooler!

no but I'm like 99% sure they are the same because the FD's are barely heavier (30 lbs heavier than the FC is all) and it has the same basic design with the same basic engine, just the looks of the car changed really, so again, tell your friend he sucks, then tell him you don't wanna be his friend anymore

Re: I heard the FD does not have a perfect 50 50 weight distribution

someone know why this 50/50 balance makes a car better ? i mean, on a racetrack or autoX event, the car is always decelerating or accelerating, the weight is always shifter in front, or back, or on the sides, therefore the balance is always fucked up, no ?

true but the weight of the car would be easier to handle if it was balanced I would think. What do you guys think?

Re: I heard the FD does not have a perfect 50 50 weight distribution

the car weight nothing

ask the porshe drivers how well is their weight balanced in their flat 6 rear engine rear wheel drive car, still the car is better than most of the 50/50 balanced cars, that is because of how the car was made. an FD is not that special, but the extraordinary suspension setup and its very light weight makes a very fast car arround the track.

I always wondered about that.

Re: I heard the FD does not have a perfect 50 50 weight distribution

50/50 weight ratio pretty much cuts out under or over steer. even though the weight is shifting all the time it is shifting more evenly than it would if it weren't balanced. plus the weight ratio is under acceleration so its totally even at that point
