I would suggest the Viper 791XV. You can never spend to much when it comes to security

The matrix 2.5 is a good alarm. If you are refering to Autoloc, I wouldnt recomend the alarms. Actuators and other products by them are good. In fact I just I just installed Autoloc power door locks and trunk release. They work awsome. Check my cardomain later tonight for pics of the add ons. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/528935

We are on the same page now. I thought you meant Autoloc. Its another brand of security. I have seen Auto lock. They look like a pain in the butt if you are in a hurry. It looks like it will prevent car theft.

I sell the Viper's sister line so I know all about these. Any line that ends in XV or the like is the new line. All of the ones that end in ESP, are the old line. The new line contains the ESP programability, it's just they changed the brains a little and really changed the remotes. Also, any of the XV or the like line is upgradable to the 2-way remotes and antenna. If you like the idea of the 2-way security but can't get the $$ to buy one, DEI is coming out with a hybrid that uses LED lights in the remotes instead of the fragile LCD screens. This makes them much cheaper. I know the Python part number for this is 671xp but not sure what the Viper's will be. You can look at an install guide of it at http://www.viper.com/guides/manuals/...437P_05-04.pdf There is no other info of it on DEI's site yet.

Now, as far as the "security" part of these systems, they are essentially all the same. It doesn't matter which one you choose. The only real benefit would be if you were looking at a 2-way system at the same time for the obvious reason but you weren't in your original question. Although these systems are about as good as you'll get, they are not complete. I strongly suggest beefing up the rest of your car. You can do this by adding things to the alarm like prox. sensors, merc. tilt switches, and even back up batteries for both the alarm AND inside the siren.
