Legal issues on Neon lights under car

I plan on buying a nice looking neon underbody kit for my car cause I found it cheap. Anyway, I was wondering if someone could please tell me exactly the legal issues about the lights. Getting a ticket now would cause my license to be revoked since I'm so young, so please let me know anything and everything I should know about the lights. Thanks

Well i live in TX and here u can only have them on in a parking lot. Which I think is just stupid, the law says its a distraction to other drivers. I wish we could have them on while we are driving. o well too bad.

Too bad man.. I live in Texas too. San Antonio that is. THAT SUCKS, I WANT THEM AND THEY"RE SO CHEAP. Oh well, looks like i gotta find some new accessories.

i live in cali and you can only have them on parked. you cant have red or blue though cas theyr cop colours. and if you get caught with them on, they wont revoke your license, theyll give you a fix it ticket

well, here in KY you're not supposed to have any blue, red, green, or white... Blue & red cause cops, green cause fire department, and white cause they're too bright. In my opinion its all bullshit, and they'll only pull you if you're showin off, or doin somethin else, or you're me and have a flashy fast "looking" vehicle. I have blue interior lights and blue strobes in my turn signals (which I never turn on unless I'm around a car show or showin off in a parking lot far away from cops) but I've been pulled for the blue interior light, and it is legal in KY to have them as long as they don't flash rotate, or oscilate....

the cops are just severely predjudice around here... it is the mountains afterall

to find out if neon lights r legak where you live go to streetglow.com and then look at the message boards under legal issues i think and they have ppl on there from just about everywhere or you could just make a call to your local police or highway patrol department and ask:sun:

As far as I know neons aren't street legal anywhere, but I am positive they aren't in Alabama or Florida. But if you don't have a show car that is already tricked out you can do lots of other stuff with that money.:grey:

I live in northern ca, and at wall-mart they have them going on sale(last I checked) for $50...but only in green, I wonder if that means something.
