Sony CDX M850MP harness/connector

I was given a Sony CDX M850MP by my son-in-law after he wrecked his Saturn coupe last year. He neglected to take the harness/connector. Anyone know anywhere one can easily be obtained or anyone have the pin out diagram for the connector (I will fabricate my own). Otherwise this thing is merely a high tech collectable....

Thx,
Tom H.

you should be able to get one from either (a) the sony website or (b) a car audio installation place

Already called a number of places in my area.

A) They don't have those types of parts.
B) They can order one.
c) No idea how long a lead time.

Guess I am impatient. Last time I ordered replacement parts for a TV and later a VCR it was almost 2 months.

well you may as well be patient, it doesnt look like you have any other options.....you could jsut ask and see what they say about when the part should be in, or ask them where they order it from.

Re: Sony CDX M850MP harness/connector

? Are you looking for a standard wiring harness? You should just be able to get one that's vehicle-specific (and wires to the appropriate leads on your head unit, then is able to plug right into your vehicle's factory harness). You can get these harnesses at places like Fry's Electronics / Circuit City / Best Buy / Ultimate Electronics.

On the web:
www.cardomain.com
www.onlinecarstereo.com
www.crutchfield.com

All of the above are reliable and ship so you receive within a few days...

i think he means the multi-wire harness that plugs into the back of the reciever, then the wires come off of that

Ah!
Well,
http://www.iq.sony.com/srvs/sosdocs/default.asp
This site will give you the downloadable .pdf installation/connections info (incl. wiring diagrams) and the users manual... Just input CDXM850MP (no spaces) in the search box...
Good luck!
