Long beep,ABS lit up, Engine quit-Then I ..

I let it sit for 20 minutes. It started. Two miles later the same thing . Long beep as ABS light came on, engine chugged and died.
I waited with flashers on for an hour.Tried starting but- just fast clicking noise. Got a jump. Started fine. Drove 2 more miles(lights very dim tho) and same thing happened as I coasted into driveway.
- I Charged battery. No start. Jumped it - just clicked.
-Replaced Battery and Alternator.
Starts but not charging. It's just running off the battery.
Battery guage shows Low. - What didn't I do??
What did the beeping and ABS light have to do with anything?
(Didn't know I had ABS).
Would someone PLEASE HELP me? JimB1

check to see if there is a fusable link between the alternator and the battery. Is what is happening there is not enough voltage to support the pcm ( computer ) operations and it just dies on you. Check all of your fuses, and there are fuses in some of the wires called fusable links, they will be right at the start selonoid and possibly right by the alternator. Just go to the parts store and get a new fusable link, most likly that is what is wrong.
