Need Help! Engine/Tranny Swapping
I dont know to much about Honda's and was wondering if an 91 Honda Civic 1500 Engine and Manual Transmission could be swapped with a 89 1500 Engine and Automatic Transmission. Stuff like clutch assembly and bracketry. Transmission Mounting and Engine Mounting. Dash Components and also OEM connections. If anyone knows any problems i could run into please reply before i try.

Re: Need Help! Engine/Tranny Swapping
I am not too smart about this but you could need the Automatic ECU for it as well... wire everything over >.<

ya, you could swap it over easy, the hardest part would be to swap the manual in for the auto, cause youwill have to put in a clutch petal and shift linkage and all kinds of stuff( my friend did this with his 94 civic, and it didnt take him but about 1 or 2 days to swap the auto to manual) you will also need to swap the ecu, you can use the auto ecu, but your rev limiter will be messed up, so you would be better off using the manual ecu.
