What infinity speakers do i need??

I really dont care about base, or bass or however you spell it, anymore. I listen to techno, and trance 99.9% of the time in my car and just want to hear it better. I want Infinity speakers but not sure what all do i need. I know i need 2 6X9s's but not sure about the size of the door speakers. What kind of model Infity will work good but not the best, or you can post the best speakers. Thank you. By the way, its going in a 96 honda lx

Re: What infinity speakers do i need??

For trance/Techno I would definetly suggest a pair of 8" subs with 3" dash speakers for mid/high with them something like :

This type of setup with a good amp will make techno sound amazing and blow 6X9's outa the water with nearly the same amount of space.

I am only replacing my stock speakers with Infinitys. I had a subwoofer, but with my aggressive driving, it just flew around in my trunk. So i just need to replace stock speakers.

Try Focal Access or Poly Glass series. Sound 3X better, more natural, bass is more natural and not boomy.

I used to use Infinity's up until I heard a set of Focals. Tons of SQ fanatics use em. EVeryone has this misconception that Infinity is high end and is good. Kinda like how ppl think a BOSE system is good. Bose is like one of the worst speakers you can buy for the price. But they market their speakers the best. Ugh.

After a little bit of thinking and going to my local audio shop I have bought myself a pair of 6.5 eclipse speakers. They didnt have 6X9 in stock so i have to wait until they come in. But so far i like the 6.5.

Re: What infinity speakers do i need??

i just got my infinity kappa perfect 6.1 components (tweeters and mid bass) and infinity kappa rear speakers installed in my car.

WHAT a bitch it was to install in a civic! I had to remove my rear seats, side panels, and then the rear panel to change my rear speakers. For my front speakers I actually had to CUT my door panels so that the speakers could fit into the cavity.

But otherwise, the music was soooo much better than the pioneers that I used to have. It rocks.

I used to think that Infinity speakers were a good product because of their name. So two years ago I bought two 6x9s and two components for the doors. Needless to say they suck! Expect to replace them in about a year and a half as the "white" cones which I think is the reference series absolutely rots away in the sun (with tint). I don't know how good the Kappa series are although they are supposed to be better.... but stay away from reference!
