Re: dealer plates

no to get dealer plates, you have to have a registered place where you can store cars, and then you have to apply, pass a test, and thats when you get the dealer plates.

ps: i know cuz my dads a car dealer.

Re: dealer plates

The biggest problem with dealer plates is the insurance. You insure the plate, not the car so anything the plate is attached to is insured.
However, the insurance co. anticipates you will put the plates on anything no matter how expensive and, as a dealer, will let anyone take a test drive. Around here, dealer plate insurance starts at more than $12,000 per year.

Re: dealer plates

i heard its $10k a year, and you get unlimited cars to have registered for that $10k that would be nice to get lots of nice cars like lamborghinis, and not worry about insurance!

12k a year..... thats as much crap as my 6k. But then again there could be a 100+k car the plate can be on. I don't see a point for anyone who is not a dealer to even bother with that type of plate.

Re: dealer plates

cause im sick of registering cars over and over again
Im 17 hears a list of the cars i have bought an sold in the last 2 years
- 1989 240sx
- 1991 240sx
- 87 300ZX turbo
- 2 Subaru Station wagons
- 1991 Taurus SHO
- 1986 Monte carlo SS
- 1983 Mustang v6 vert
- 88 mustang 5.0
- 88 Grand Caravan (NEVER AGAIN)
-1985 corvette
- 1990 300ZX non turbo
- 77 280Z

a few other various ones that i forgot, I was never able to drive most of these cars legally because its a pain in the ass to insure and register things when you sell it within a month. Just thought a dealer plate would be easier. So if incurance is that much, screw it.
