Re: air/fuel gauge install..what wire?

cant i just run the positive and negative wires into the wires i already have run for my boost guage? or do they need to go into the ecu..i dont see why there would be a difference but i just want to be safe

Re: air/fuel gauge install..what wire?

Well, for the A/F gauges to work properly, you have to tap the ecu o2 signal wire. So, as long as you're in there, you might as well tap the wires suggested in the tutorial. Theoretically, any positive power source and solid ground would work, but the proper installation should be done as demonstrated in the dsmtuner.com guide.

Re: air/fuel gauge install..what wire?

Just a note about the wiring (yes, that pic is distracting), if you want that guage to be accurate you have to use the proper ground wire. If you use any old ground, the voltage will be wrong. All of the cars sensors use seperate ECU grounds, there are 2 or 3 of them.
