Service light (w/ wrench) ????
Does anyone know how to reset the Service light on a 2001 Cavalier? This is not the check engine light and it doesn't show anything on the OBD readings. I think it is the 50,000 mile maintenance light, anyways I need to reset it if I can, I don't have an owner's manual that might describe how to perform this. Please Help! I want to attend to it especially if it is something more serious.
Thanks. |

Wow, you have both a Service engine and a Check engine light. Sorry I haven't worked on a 2001 yet. I wish I could help. I would have guessed that it would be done with the code reader. I have one of the Actron models and it has a function for turning off the SES light. Autozone in my area uses the same model I have, so you may want to take it there and see if they can do it for you. Hey its free. Good Luck.
