http://www.allpar.com/fix/80s-codes.html

I believe it has to do with the EGR system...

EGR bad or clogged or knock sensor (if it's got one.)

Be sure you're reading the codes right, might be 1-2 then 2-? look again to be sure!

I sit behind the wheel with a pad and paper and copy them down. They're hard to follow and remember when you've got about 6 different codes to deal with...

Re: 1994 5.2

Do you have access to a hand vacuum pump? The test for the 93-95 electronic backpressure transducer EGR's is simple. Connect the hose to the inlet port on the EGR. With engine running, slowly apply vacuum until the rpm's begin to drop. This should occur at 3.5 to 5 inches. Anything quite higher is a bad indication. Then with engine dead, apply 15 inches, and see how long it holds it. Anything less than 7-8 seconds without the needle dropping indicates a cracked diaphram. This test only applies to the electronic EGR's, it's simple, and it works.
