ZEX wet or dry

I know this has been discussed before, but i cant seem to find it. ok, I am just about done rebuilding my D16a6 and i am thinking about picking up a zex system. What i am wondering is which is better on the engine, running a dry shot or a wet shot.

Re: ZEX wet or dry

Found some info herehttp://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread...postid=9918519

They seem to say that more than 75 shot of dry is not good without upgrading fuel supply (detonation) and the benefit of wet is it provides fuel in mixture, etc.

Re: ZEX wet or dry

Go with a zex dry system, easy to install, easy to use. if you want to stay with a 75 or under shot but if you plan on going with a bigger shot than that you should get a wet system. Even with the 75 shot dry system you should upgrade fuel pump, fuel rail, fpr, injector's to be safe, run colder plugs and run correct timing.

Dry for a small shot.

civicHBSi91 - Are you using a 70 shot? I wanted nitrous so bad for a long time, but decided against it. Its so cheap for so good amount of power, but I was concerned about the saftey of it.

Re: ZEX wet or dry

55shot dry, denso plug's and 93 octane and other than the broken motor mount and bald tires it spices her up alot esp on top end.

75 shot some tires and that fixed motor mount and some time should put me low 13's high 12's depending on what tire's im on.

Re: ZEX wet or dry

9.2@77mph with 2.2 on factory tire's, broken rear motor mount only trans side and engine side holding it together.

arent you using slicks of some sort? or road race tires?

your car is also lighter

Re: ZEX wet or dry

mph dictates speed, E.T. dictates traction. I had heavy 13" wire wheels with a horrible offset (fatties) with some Hoosier road race tires which totally suck ass. even with a big burnout i was getting no traction until halfway down the track

My video is on here somewhere....

Re: ZEX wet or dry

I have it saved.

maybe your launching too high, I launch at 2k basically a high idle...

i hear you car spin halfway through 2nd and catch

i should get a video of how much my engine moves without that back motor mount. its not actually broken...the bracket came off the car so its the bracket and motor mount in one just not connected to anything, i dont know if i was bolted down or welded down...gotta get that taken care of im sure that will help me out alot.
