anybody know?
on the 96 1.0 engine,any piston marks for standard bore on the top of piston?looking at A1 thanks

Right. Your pistons should all have a common letter. Mine use B1 and B2. Your headgasket surface will have the piston numbers(bore size) etched into it. Mine says 1212. So i have B1,B2,B1,B2 in that order starting from the timing gear side. Make sure the arrow etched into the piston points toward the timing gear side, same with the arrows cast into your connecting rod bearing cap.

pulled pistons,so far a1,a2,a1 smaller piston in middle 1.0 rod barrings look good except for two sand lines will replace with same new ones,will use molly rings,hone for sure?thanks anyone know if perfect circle 41675 rings will work with these thanks

I bought all my bearings, rings, and gasket kit there for less than an OEM gasket kit and crank bearing kit from the auto parts store. The topline bearings and rings are EXCELLENT quality, and definately a huge upgrade from OEM parts, at a better price. You can find your bearing size on the back of the bearing. Should be imprinted in it. |

so,given the different bore sizes on the 1.0,when ordering rings no such thing as standard?or standard and file to fit ?

Rings compress when you put them in the cylinder. That's why you hone the cylinder. The honing acts as a file as you break in your engine. It will file the rings to size for you, and seal. But be gentile with the engine while they break in. As long as they are stock bore, or you know the cylinders are bored .010" or .020" over and so on, all 3 rings will fit the same on the pistons, even with the different factory bore sizes.
