GMC Suburban Brakes

I have had a complete brake job at 60,000 miles last July 03, dealer says I need a another one at 90,000 miles and says there is only 20% left on my brakes. How long should Suburban Brakes last? It seems like they should last longer than 1 yr.

Re: GMC Suburban Brakes

Gorilla, it depends on how you drive, how you ride your brakes, if you do any towing or if you drive around 30k miles per year. Sounds about right to me.

Brakes

Well if you got 30,000 miles out of your brakes I think you have done very well. Since December of 03 I have replaced my brake pads four times. The last set of pads of been the best, but now feel like they are going. What kind of pads are you using?
