hot

SB,

my truck's guage runs at 210. factory guages are about as accurate as potato salad and a spoon at a rifle range, though.

it sounds as if your truck overheated due to lack of airflow in the rad., but for security reasons, i'd replace the thermostat to be safe.

if a thermo sticks, it can cause overheating and then unstick and go back to normal. it can stick again, and either leave you sit, or damage the engine. for less than 10 bux, and a little time, it's worth the effort.
