possible loose connection?

need some help. i got a 96' 2.4dohc engine. when ever i'm driving it i don't get any check engine codes but sometimes out of nowhere the engine will just die. it's not like i stop getting fuel cause it doesn't sputter, it's like the ignition just quits on me. i replaced ALL components of the ignition system-pcm, i module, plugs, boots, housing, coils;and think it's a loose wire or connection. i noticed that it will cut out on me more often when ever it shifts hard between gears and usually after it dies i have to try starting it at least 5 times until it will start again. i tried jiggling the connections into the ignition module and the pcm while the car was running but it didn't cut out so i'm stuck. any help will be greatly appriciated. thanks

Re: possible loose connection?

Check ground wires. Could be corodid or barely on. I don't know where to point you directly and I hope I'm not stating the obvious. Good luck

they're pretty clean and tight to the engine block and the chasis. i even added an extra one to each just to make sure it had a good connection. what i think might be the clue is the fact that after it shuts off it doesn't come back on like its a loose connection until after i try starting it a few times. i'm so pissed off at it that i'm about to go against my morals and take it to a garage.
