I had the same problem with my blazer a few months back. While i was drivin it around like krazy in our valley, everything started flickering (stereo, speakers, dash lights), then the car just died. I checked under the hood & the battery clamp (er whatever its called) had fell off. So i hooked it back up & started the car. Everything was still flickering but it stayed on this time. I heard a "shocking" noise so i popped the hood with the car running. The battery cable had been too close the the belts & the friction had burned all the way to the bare wire & was shooting sparks everywhere. All i did was unhook the battery cable (TURN OFF CAR FIRST )zip-tie the part of the cable that was too close to the belts to a little hook near it (just somewhere AWAY from the belts), & hooked the cable back up to the battery. After that there werent any problems & everything was working fine.

chock?

If you mean "shock" you might want to check to make sure the grounding straps are all in place. battery to engine block and engine block to chassis. Clean these contact areas and include NEW lock washers at all points to complete the ground circuits. This is of course assuming you cleaned both battery terminals and cables with a cleaning tool and verified a good connection. Keep me posted...
