1997 TBird 4.6 transmission leak

Hey all!

My 1997 Ford TBird auto tranny is leaking and I need some advice. I would say Im a novice with tranny's but amateur with engines...

Between the oil pan and the tranny on the drivers side, I am dripping transmission fluid. I would guess the leak is somewhere's above there and that the drip location is the runoff. It seems to do it only under pressure. The pan is dry and the cooling lines appear dry and are on the other side than the leak and I believe they connect farther back?? (correct me if I am wrong). I got my fix it book and trying to see where it suggests leaks can happen, nothing other than pan and cooling lines. Anyone else? Tranny works fine (no shudder, etc.) just need to keep filling it and my garage floor is becoming a holding tank for tranny fluid. Any help on where to look to start to find leak would be helpful. Probably going to take it in and have it looked at as I am not geared up to take the tranny out myself. Any ideas on cost to rebuild or replace (used and/or new) these tranny's?

Thanks!
