I have a 1970 grand prix 455 4 brrl in it , and its blowing white smoke out of the exhaust I don`t think it the head gasket they were done two years ago when my buddy owened the car and the smoke was going away after ever oil change done on it . when I toke over the car and replace the oil plan gasket the whit smoke is alot worst now . So what did i do wrong ? Should I take it in and have a pressure check down to it ?

White smoke is usually a sign that water is getting into the combustion chamber... the culprit may be the head gasket... but i guess a pressure check wouldn't hurt.

Head gaskets blow for a reason. If your buddy changed the gasket but did not fix the root problem, such as a warped head or block, the gasket will blow again. |

Re: Need help with a 1970 grand prix
I think the water pump on it not working or its clogg and I did change the thermostat in thought that might of been the problem with water not following through the radiator. My buddy toke the heads in had them reconditon 2 years ago the full work . That why we are stuck on this problem
