interior cleaners
I want to give my carpets and seats and dash and everything a good cleaning. Is there anything that you guys have used that works really good?

For cleaning the interior I like to use Tuff Stuff on the dash and door panels, the plastic trim etc... it gets a lot of the grim you don't realize off the parts. For the carpets i use household carpet cleaner, namely Woolite carpet cleaner i believe for high traffic, it's a foam spray. Also use a plastic bristle brush on the parts. I've gotten my interior of my car looking brand new with a combo of these two products, i finish it off with some armor all on the dash and plastic parts.

Re: interior cleaners
pretty much any carpet cleaner will work all depends how you use it.

Re: interior cleaners
yep just shampoo and a wash mitt hot water and fairly stiff vinyl scrub brush , use the wash mitt to apply the shampoo the brush to scrub and a wet/dry vac to suck up the water and scum.

Re: interior cleaners
just FYI, theres a product called "simple green" that you can pick up at walmart for reallllly cheap. Its really good on cleaning hard to reach places like the crevises of rims or engine parts. If you spray it on then let it sit for about 10 minutes or so then you can just hose it off. I use it to cleaning the engine of my quad and have also used it on my rims.

Re: interior cleaners
Is it a sodium based project? Does it contain butyl? Mechanics here like to use my Grand Slam Industrial degreaser and the no-name oven cleaners. I have photos on how to use the slam and engine dressing after. I took pleny photos , products equiptment i use ect...
I am starting a new thread asap for detailing specifically , hopefully it will be in the main heading instead of just under pontiacs.

Re: interior cleaners
if its all natural it shouldnt contain sodium or butyl , if the enviro laws are strict out there. Any cleaner that uses sodiun chlorides, sulphuricacids and butyl works great as a engine degreaser or interior cleaner when diluted down enough. Butyl makes me cough and sodium's give me instant dish pan hands. I also use hydrophoric acid (spelled wrong i know) on a daily basis. It will remove rust off of tail pipes chrome and rims , it put me in the hospital once damn near died.

Re: interior cleaners
I have racked my brain to help , mean green and grand slam are the same cleaning agents as k&n filter cleaner , the filter cleaner can be diluted and used for interiors or degreasing motors. The tecnical name is sodium Metasilicate and is very costic stuff.

Re: interior cleaners
I tried the "Tuff Stuff" works alright on the dash, i havent tried the seats or carpets yet. I also got the "Black Magic" stuff as well. That stuff works awesome. It creates a shine much better than armor all. For something thats cheap and easy, i tried the rainx spray wax stuff. That stuff works good too. Its really easy to apply, and looks really good. I think tommorow im gunna try the cleaners on the carpet and such. I didnt really find the other stuff you guys were talking about, like the mean green stuff. thanks again
