Red face 98 passat 1.8t

I need an advice on problem that I have: Cylinder # 2 misfiring constantly. Checked the power on the ignition coil, tried to swap the coils to see if the misfire follows the coil. The problem stays on Cyl # 2. It appears to me that its not getting the signal from ECM to fire the plug. What do I do next ? Any suggestions ?
Thanks,

ICU, get used to it

I too have a 1.8 turbo. I'm on my third ICU (Ignition Control Mod.) The Srv. Mgr. said that the passat always returns P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire when it's the ICU. Now I'm battleing a revving problem. PS.. my car hates heat!!!!
