Angry trunk light doesnt go off

help. my truck lights doesnt go off, and the light on the dash says the trunk is open but its not. does anyone know how to fix this? please help

probably a bad latch. there is a contact on the latch that is probably worn. I think it gets ground when the trunk is shut. what i would do is disconnect the connecter to the latch and if there is one wire then try grounding it and if the lite goes out then its the latch

Same thing happened to me, turned out to mixed up or bad wiring when installing my stereo system in the trunk. I just brought it to local alarm installer and they fixed it like nothing.
