Re: b16a question

no you dont have to shift at that rpm, thats just where the motor makes the most power, only do that if you are racing, for normal driving just shift normally around 2500-3500rpm.

redline is 8200, revlimit is around 8500. so when racing a stock b16, shift at 8200

Re: b16a question

Shift at around 8, maybe a littttle higher but not lower.

The B16 makes peak power at 7,600rpm, but by shifting at 8,000 you stay higher in the powerband for the next gear.

I take it past 8 when I'm racing..

Uhh.. Ya. Always check your oil, and make sure you change it every 5,000km. Don't not take care of your motor. Mine doesn't burn a drop of oil, but I make sure to change it on time every time.

Re: b16a question

8200 is rev cutout on a stock gen1 ECU, take it as close as you can. Anywhere between 8000 and 8119 is good

"Pop"? Mine doesn't.
