1992 Cherokee Ltd, 105k , wont stay started, alarm prob?

Hello, I bought a 92 Cherokee Ltd from a auto auction that had been in a light rear end collision. Has a key but no key pad, or door locks to turn off alarm. I pulled the flashing relay out from under the dash to save battery, however my problem comes when I try to start it. It will start but wont keep running. Is this a safety feature with the alarm? Like the computer tells the engine, or fuel pump not to run? I can keep it running by spraying a carb cleaner, or starter fluid into the air box. It is getting fuel before the engine turns over, but I dont think it is after. Any help would be great. Also the running lights stay on now since I took out the alarm relay under the dash. Not to concerned just need to get it running so I can take to a place to have the alarm gone thru. Thanks!
