Cool Flickering Headlights

My headlights flicker after driving for about 5 minutes. Brought truck into shop and they changed a switch. Headlights were okay for about 2 days and then the flickering started up again. Lights flicker faster the longer the engine is on. What could cause this?

I HAVE A 91 DAKOTA SPORT AND HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS, I CHANGED THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH TWICE AND THAT ONLY WORKED FOR 2 WEEKS THEN THEY WENT OUT AGAIN. IT TURNS OUT IT WAS THE FOG LIGHT SWITCH, WHEN I TURNED MY HEADLIGHTS ON IN ABOUT FIVE TO TEN MINUTES AND THEY WOULD START FLASHING ON AND OFF. SO I WIRED MY FOG LIGHTS TO THEIR OWN TERMINAL ON THE FUSE BOX AND THAT TOOK CARE OF MY PROBLEM.

flickering headlights

i have a '91 dakota SE 5.2 4x4. I had a daytime running light problem when looked at deeper , found my OD wasn't working when the lights wouldn't work. Turned out to be speed sensor on the side of the tranny , which detects vehicle movement and triggers lights to come on.
