3 series or G35

which would you choose a 3 series coupe or a g35 coupe. The bmw has the class while the g35 already has turbo kits and other performance parts to make it a serious contender on the streets.

you can buy turbo kits for the 3 series as well and other performance parts.

Go for the BMW . . .

I used to be a Nismo guy, but let me tell you a G35 will not outhandle a 3-series nor will it outlast the 3 series it is just a fact of a better made product being the 3-series. if you want something nice get the m3 with its upgraded suspension, LSD, etc. or you can get the 325is like you are speaking of, but performance initally will be slightly less then the g35. The choice is ultimately yours but I am moving up from an e30 325es 5-speed that I have now soon to a 93 BMW 325is 5-speed and going to do a custom turbo setup, or maybe, but doubtfully a supercharger.

We just completed that decision ourselves, and I'm happy to report that we take delivery of our '04 325CI today! The main factors that swayed us were ride quality and overall 'feel' of the 325. I also like the thought that went into safety features such as sequential air bags, air bags along the top of the doors and the active headlight system.
When we first started looking at the G35, the price point was very attractive, but along with the accolades they have been getting from the press, came price increases. When it came time to buy, I was able to get what I believe to be the superior product at a better price.

Congratulatons! The power difference (280 vs. 184 hp) is significant in the Infiniti's favor, but, had I the money to choose between these cars, I'd go with the BMW too.

G35 coupes seem to be standout cars, but BMW's have always had a distinct personality other cars lack. Did you get a manual transmission?
