Thumbs up Lowering Question

ok i have a stock 89 Civic dx hatch. i want to lower it but i dont know how low to go. it has nothing done but zc DOHC engine swap with turbo running 8lbs pressure cat exhaust stage 4 clutch 16 inch rims. i only use it in stright line races and on back roads that are nice and curvey. just askin for ideas.

Re: Lowering Question

you have a stock car, yet its got rims, engine swap, turboed stage 4 clutch and a catback.....that sounds not stock to me.....infact it sounds heavily modded.

Re: Lowering Question

yeah, get the kyb struts/shocks. And don't puss out on good springs. Most people with some money get the Eibachs. If you don't have that much money then get Arospeed or Sprint Springs that are coil overs so you can adjust the ride height. I like the coilovers cuz I can keep a respectable height for the "curvy" roads and slam it to the ground if I'm racing straight lines (if I ever did that).

Re: Lowering Question

Don't cut your springs. It may accomplish the goal of "lowering" your car but that can be dangerous to you and whoever you are driving around. If you get just "sleeves" get new struts also.
