Arizona question

I just had a random thought, does AZ have a sales tax?
I was thinking of going there on vacation next winter. Thanks for any input.

Re: Arizona question

$ Sales tax
• The state sales tax (referred to as a transaction privilege tax) on most retail sales is 5.6 percent.
• All fifteen Arizona counties levy a tax. Incorporated municipalities also levy transaction privilege taxes which, with the exception of their hotel/motel tax, are generally in the range of 1-to-3 percent. These added assessments could push the combined sales tax rate to as high as 10.1 percent.
• Arizona does not tax the sale of food for home consumption or drugs prescribed by a licensed physician or dentist. However, some cities in Arizona do levy a tax on food for home consumption.

Hahahahaha...
I didn't really mean it. I just said it cuz there's no sales tax and it seemed that poorviperfan was concerned about sales tax.

Oregon- come for the rain, slugs and cold...stay for the frighteningly large and agressive shark species. Paid for by the Oregon Tourism Board.
