Last Camaro?

I found this online, but I think it's from a real newspaper. Even I know what's wrong with this picture.

That's on heck of a mistake. lol That's a Firebird. Still an F-Body but it's not a Camaro.

That is funny. I wonder if Camaro and Firebirds heads would argue over a mistake like that?

From my experience, most F body owners, both Firebirds and Camaros, have a mutual respect for each other

Question: what designated the "F" in F-body? was it just a random letter that was given to those cars, or do F-Body's have certain features, as in, are the only F Body's Camaro's and Firebirds?

The "F" in F-body is simply a letter designation of Firebirds and Camaros. Similarly, Corvettes are denoted as C-bodys, A-bodys are the old Chevelles, and G-bodys are the Grand Nationals. I have never seen any information with a specific reason behind these cars being labeled with an "F." I can tell you the term F-body was first used on Camaros and Firebirds that were produced in 1982.

I was always under the impression it meant "Formula". Sort of a higher performance firebird/camaro.

I could be mistaken, but I don't think that's correct. I think it refers to all Camaros/Firebirds from '82 on. Like I said, I'm not sure though, just what I've heard. Anybody else got any input?
