painting tail light center section

Would anyone out there have some step by step instructions on how to paint the center section of the tail lights. Also what kind of paint would i need to use and where to get it. The center section on my 95 eclipse is fogged up and i cant stand how it looks. Thanks

Take it to a body shop and have them paint it.
Use the same paint code as your car.
If you want to do it yourself which will probally not turn out so good unless you know what you are doing. You can buy the duplicolor auto touch up paint in spray cans if you want to do it that way. Unless you have a paint gun then you can use that.

many of my friends have tried to paint parts of their cars by themselves, and unless its black... i wouldnt mess with it, you will probably regret doing it yourself unless you know what you are doing

Re: painting tail light center section

It isnt as hard as you think. You need to get sandpaper: 220, 400, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 grit. You might want to get some spot/glazing putty in case the surface is messed up. You will also want your base color and clear coat paint. Get a cleaning solvent that is in the paint section and some rubbing compound. That might be a little to much detail for a small piece but it will look good. I do this for my interior pieces also and they look just as good as my exterior paint. Does that help?

You don't need to sand
