heat problem

my car keeps heating up to an unsafe level. the temp gauge would raise and my air conditioning would start to heat up. what r the different possibilities of anythin broken?

Had same problem with camero, checked thermostat first, making sure it opened at high temp. When it was fine,it turned out to be that my Radiator Cap was not relieving pressure to the reserve tank.

i dont have a manual so where is the thermostat at?

Thermostat is in an metal housing that comes from the radiator, a large hose that enters the side of the intake manifold, usually very accessable.

im good. i found it and it had some dirt in it and my car is fixed.
