check engine oil light

please read this carefully!!! The check engine oil light came on after changing the oil how can I shut this off? Please don't confuse this question with the change oil light. I know how to shut this off by pressing the acceleratot 3 times. This is the CHECK ENGINE OIL LIGHT!
Thanks tmbrdl

The check engine oil light comes on if the oil is low.

If it is on, and you KNOW that the oil is not low then you may be looking at needing an oil level sensor or something wrong with that circuit.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I let it sit for most of the day and it went out by itself. Maybe it had a little air bubble at the sensor? tmbrdl
