oil leak

i just purchased a 90 honda accord ex it runs great but it has an oil leak. it appears to be between the oil pan and the transaxle i am hoping its the oil pan and not the engine main rer seal, but just incase. is it hard to replace the main rear seal on these hondas . thanks for youre input . manny g

You need to look if the oil is comming high or is just around the lower part of the tranny. There is an outside chance of the oil traveling down from the valve cover gasket...I know long shot, but if it is the rear main you'll need to drop the tranny. The seal changes easy just make sure it's even all the way around. Good luck
