Major power loss and spit and sputter at takeoff

Hi all, I have read your forums and finally am going to post. I have had major problems with my car which has 82K. I was getting SES light and took it to have it serviced. Was getting misfires on cyclinder 7. So after the wire and plug changes it ran like a dream again. Now a week later I got another SES light. Took it to the dealer and now I am getting a Fuel too Lean error and OS error on Sensor 1 Bank 1. Sometimes there is no problem and other times it justt doesnt even want to take off. When I get up to about 30MPH it really kicks in like it should and that car moves. Well on my way to pick up the part it died. Stranded I had to call the towtruck. Could there possibly be a fuel pump problem as well? I will keep you all posted.

Does your car any problems turning over when you start it at all? A common problem with Auroras, especially around the mileage of yours is the Fuel Pressure Regulator. About a $75 part and easy DIY fix. 30 minutes tops.

FPR is expensive for '95's ($100+). I paid $38 or so for the genuine GM part (which had the wrong small o-ring on it, causing no end of problems) for my '98. I'd stick with the GM part on this one, too, just with the caveat to ensure that the o-rings you pull out match the quantity and size of those you're putting on :-)
