New Exhust System

Ok...i bought a 2001 GP GT...the other day i ran over a dead deer going about 110 mph...needless to say i couldnt swerve or do anything since i was goign to fast...but now the exhaust is loud and rattles and shakes my car....

.....has anyone had to replace the whole exhaust system at like Midas or anyplace? what kind of price am i looking at ?

Have you checked with your local Grand Prix club? Someone might be looking to sell their factory exhaust to offset the cost of their new Borla....or whatever brand.

If I ran over anythng at 110 my ass would be suckin' up the seat covers!!!

The loudness is most likely a hole in the system (antlers, maybe?) And the rattles....a broken hangar or two. You have to get it up in the air to know for sure.

At any rate, because it seems you enjoy speed (and who doesn't), if the exhaust has to be replaced, go with an aftermarket - there's less constriction. Depending on the brand and material quality, you should expect to pay $500-900 for the cat-back parts alone.

actually i just got it fixed today...went to Tuffy Mufflers, they took it down and had to bend back some shape, cost 150 and it is as good as new.
