Wiring through the firewall on 4th gen

I need to get some wires and a switch through the firewall on my 4th gen Si, and I was wondering if there was a pre-made hole that would work nicely or a trick to drilling through the firewall that I don't know. Right now, it seems like something I don't wanna mess with unless you guys have some tips. And no, it is not for some LED Washers, it's for some driving/fog lights I'm thinking of getting. Thanks for any help.

KMS (Honda-performance.com) Camshafts, Valve springs, and Retainers
Skunk2 adjustable cam gears

Wish me luck on this project, something always seems to go wrong.

Re: Wiring through the firewall on 4th gen

You should have a hole with a plug in it on the passenger side on the firewall. If you look, the plug is made of plastic/rubber and can be removed with your fingers.

Re: Wiring through the firewall on 4th gen

that plug is really hard to pull out, just push it through with a screwdriver, and it falls right on the floor of the passenger side.

I tried to find this plug from both the inside and outside, but I couldn't. Does anyone have any pictures for this or a page number to find it in the Helm's manual?

Re: Wiring through the firewall on 4th gen

Hey ziggymidget5 what is your email? I will send you pictures of the plugs tonight to your email address, don't know how to post pics on forum. There is 2 on my car on passenger side by fuel charcoal canister engine area.

Unbolt your fuse box and move it to the side. You can see a "plug". This where I just cust a slit in it and fed the wires through when I wired up my amp. You can even run wires through the same grommet the fusebox is using. Just cut a slit in it but be very careful when doing so as you don't want to cut into other wires.

Thanks for all the help. I took off the fuse box tonight and found atleast one of the useable plugs and where it leads to. From here on out it should be simple.
