Question red painted wheels

Im thinking about painting my wheels red and then taking some 5 spoke wheel covers and painting them black and putting them on over the wheels. Has anyone seen what I'm talking about, and in your opinion does it look stupid?

Re: red painted wheels

Sounds interesting! Why not do it, and if it doesnt look good, just paint them black again.

Hey Curbie, that can be put a little nicer. Grow up.

Please don't do that!! That sounds kind of "Ricey". From my sig you can see my feelings about "Rice" and trust me I know about rice, because the roads where I live look like they had a Chinese restaurant explode on them.
Please, please, please don't do that! Painted wheels are hideous (at least the ones I've ever seen). Find a set of decent rims and believe me that will look much better.
Cost of opinion:

Do what ya like. If you change your mind they can be repainted. Any one who doesn't like what you do to your car can buy their own.

True, I guess I opened my big mouth without thinking. I have a habit of doing that. The guy I bought my Cav from bought another car and ruined- absolutely ruined- his wheels painting them, so I guess that's why I don't like them but yeah Cacophobia do what you want it's your car.

How do you "ruin" wheels by painting them. You can always repaint. Hell, with some cash you can strip off the paint and have them chromed.
Try something different and have fun. Who cares. In ten years we will all have different cars anyway.

Re: red painted wheels

I would say like most here, go for it see how it looks if you don't like the end result you can always strip or repaint them....
