Problem on my car, PLZ READ AND SUGGEST HELP ANYONE!!!

hey whats going on, thanks if you've taken some time out to read this hurrr mo fo. okay... my car once again is screwing up... Im not surprised though. okay... here are the stats:

1.8 L
82,000 Miles
STOCK EVERYTHING!!
AUTOMATIC!!

alright, 2 days ago as I was driving to work.... my car kind of... "stalled" it felt like and then next thing I know my "check engine" light is lit up. If I apply my foot on the gas with any pressure my car will begin to "kick" as if its sturggling. If I barely press... and I mean barely... it'll accelerate slowly. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY MY CAR IS DOING THAT AND HOW I CAN FIX IT. IVE HEARD FROM MY DAD ( NOT A SMART FELLA MOST THE TIME ) THAT IT COULD BE MY THROTTLE BODY... OR A VACCUM HOSE? DONT KNOW WHAT EITHER ONE OF THOSE DO, SO IF YOU CAN TELL ME IF YOU KNOW OR GOT ANY SUGGESTIONS. THANKS FOR READING, AND SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!! THANKS YALL....

when was the last time you changed the Fuel Filters??? sounds like it starving to me.

I just bought the car 2 months ago, and so far Ive changed the oil.. spark plugs... pads... and "cd player". So I have not changed the "fuel filter"... what does the fuel filter do? Are they expensive and where do I purchase new ones??? (Autozone???)

It filters the fuel.. lol
Any auto place will have them there are about 25

you pops could be right, i'd replace the fuel filter. but first of all i'd pull that engien code and see what code is tripping the check engien light, then depending on what the code is, you can isolate where the problem is coming from. if its a fuel code than you start from the pump, and work your way upto the injectors. boy, i wish i could help you out more, but its imparitive you find out what the check engien code is first. if you really get stumped or you dont have the ability to figure out whats going on, you can call the mitsu dealership, and ask them how much it will be to run a dignostc and pull the code for you. at our dealership its $35 + labor, but it only takes 5 mins. so. hope that helps a little.

i totally missed him saying it threw a code . i would deffinatly have it scanned,(i think autozone and pep boys do it for free ). then like scottsee that will help isolate the problem.

It might be your fuel injectors, make sure you check the fuel filter first. If you wondering wat fuel injectors, there the thing that spray the gas into the engine. There not hard at all to replace if you know what your doin.

go to checker or autozone and tell em u need to use there code reader thing....then plug it in, im sure they will help u if u dont get it

Just go to Autozone.. here's my story:

I went to Autozone and asked them if they could get the code from my check engine light. He walked out to my car with me, opened my door and plugged the damn thing in, read the code, told me what the code meant, and how to fix it. All of that + good service for free. And no, autozone is not paying me to advertise for them, although I wish they were

Autozone Sucks So Im Glad U Dont Work For Them.... They Always Tell Me They Cant Help Me, Bcuz My Car Is Not "1996" And Up... So No Dice. I Need To Find A Place That "scans" An Obd1??? Autozone Has Obd2... So Yea, Sucks. If I Get A Tune Up, Is That Just Fine????? Will That Tell Me Whats Up?
