Question short shifter

Anyone know of a short shifter that doesn't mess up your tranny etc? My friend had a B&M in a civic and it ruined his tranny. Another guy had a 95 civic and the same thing happened to him.

Re: short shifter

they basically all work on the same concept. weather it actaully ruined his trans, its debatable.

I know some people have had good luck with short shifters on some cars and others have ruined their trans on other models. It seems like a 50/50 chance of messin something up by putting it in. I think I'll pass, it could be an expesive problem for a few tenths of a second.

Re: short shifter

spend the money on polyuerothane(sp?) shifter bushings. great cheap improvement. gives you a nice solid shift. and doesnt ruin anything
