Auto Transmission Problem

Have a 97 3000GT and the automatic transmission up shifts and down shifts fine, but it will fall out of gear when in drive (only). If I let it slow down it hooks back up or dropping it in nutral and then back into drive works. Has anyone had this problem, or possible know if the tranny is going out or is it hopefully a computer or linkage problem.
