Auto tranny trouble.

I have a 95 3.3 with 4 spd. o.d.. Currently only goes up to 2nd gear.Have had it scanned and comes up with a code 53. What now?
This van has 125,000 miles on it. Trans. was rebuilt at 80,000.

Re: Auto tranny trouble.

Front planetary failure. This is internal. No electrical problem will cause this code. Good luck

Re: Auto tranny trouble.

Its not practicle to try to do that. There where a few manuals in the '80s for Chrysler FWDs but, you better know how to do some fabrication. Also, know how to reprogram(flash the eeprom) in the computer system. Anything can be put into anything though. It just take $$$$

If its still got ok engine oil pressure, it should be worth a tranny. Maybe?
