Question i/h/e = need higher Gas octane?

Just wondering, currently I am using Mid Grade for my Teg (eerr...that's what the dealer suggested) but with i/h/e, would you need higher octane gas? (because there's more air going in?)

I don't think it really makes that much of a difference unless your going FI.
