?'s Fd and the fc3s

Does anyone know the exact difference between the two? I just recently learned of the fd version and it seems there is less to found of it the the fc. Also I was wondering if there was an engine upgrade for the 3rd gen rx-7.

Also I seem to find that most ppl are buying the 2nd gen tis is confusing because as far as I can tell the 3rd gen is far better. Am I missing something?

Too many fast FDs out there. I'd rather see some fast FCs

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

theres plenty of FC's that can beat plenty of FD's....

and the FD is not "by far better" it simply has 55 more hp than the S5 TII and that can be made up by addind a full exhaust system on the TII and then your equal and the FC and full exhaust would cost you way less

the motor is pretty much the same, the FD is twin turbo but is usual changed to single turbo anyways so that makes them even more similar...

and if I am correct, FC's are slightly lighter than FD's

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

I believe it depends on the model and year of the FC for it to weigh less then the FD. The FD engine has a few durability enhancments over the S5 TII engine also minus the complicated twin turbo setup that tends to have problems.

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

reply there is no S4 base, the base S4 is a GTU, unless I'm just an idiot, but I'm pretty sure

EDIT: and I'm pretty sure 91 was the only year with a 'base' model, and I know it had one cuz I own one

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

Actually, the FD motor has more potential than the FC motor. The only reason people say the FC is better is because they have them, trust me, I am one of them. I have an FC that can smoke most FDs, but would rather have that motor with my modifications in my car. Just my 2 cents

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

we don't care about your 2 cents cuz they are wrong, you can get just as much power out of both of them for about the same price when you include the price of the car... the engine with more potential would be the 20B

WHAT?!?!?! For the SAME amount of money you can make an FC motor that makes as much HP or MORE then the FD motor.

You would RATHER spend the thousands of dollars for an FD conversion?

Man, I REALLY want what your smoking..

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

For free, what would you rather have, FD motor in your FC, or FC motor in your FC, for free.

Re: ?'s Fd and the fc3s

FC TII, more reliable, already has single turbo, came in the FC... thats my vote
