Corolla XRS

I know this is a Honda forum, and I own a Civic, but I just wanted an oppinion from people who actually know something about cars.

I'm looking for a new car, and I saw the Corolla XRS. The numbers impressed me. The car only makes 10 less HP than the fastest Celica and 127 ft lb tq at 4200 rmp where as the celica GTS makes that much at 6700 rpms. On top of all this, the corolla probably weighs a lot less. What do you guys think? Anyone have any quarter mile times for the Corolla XRS? I don't wanna ask in the Toyota forum because I know people will be biased.

yeah, but I'd rather know from someone who's actually driven one and isn't getting paid to review it.

btw, im talking about the 6 speed. It weighs around 2500 pounds

I've driven one. It can hold its own on the street.

I went to the Toyota dealership yesterday to test drive it, but then I saw this Acura. The dealer is trying to sell it for 16K. It's a 2001 3.2l CL, I don't think it was a type S. it's fully loaded, but no navigation system. It's looks great and it's pretty quick, I'm gonna try to bring the price down a little.
