Question correct numbers for 65 327/350 hp

Need 65 327 correct for 350hp. what is correct suffix code for this engine? I have HD. Looking for sep-dec block BTW.

a 350 HP code for an 327 Engine for an El Camino, 1965, is EC or ED, both 4 barrels with manual trannys.

Thanks. Would you share your source as I don't have that info for EC although ED works just fine!

Thanks for your reply as I didn't know either worked.

Still need 870 block dated I-L 64. My vehicle has a CE with correct dates.

Page 15 Chevelle/El Camino ID book, isbn 1-880524-06-6

The EC came with a manual tranny, 4 barrel, and was special high performance.

The ED was basically the same except it had a transistor ignition.
