1:18 Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9L (!!Lots of pics!!)
Hey guyz,
I'm a Peugeot freak and I own a Peugeot 205 GTi 1.9L So, offcourse, I bought the diecast 1:18 205 GTi model from Solido. As you can see the Solido model is different than my car. My car is from modelyear 1994 and the Solido version is from modelyear 1990. Here are the differences: - wrong color - tyres look like monster truck tyres - Indicators are orange instead of white - color of the seats is wrong - the back lights are the old version, I have the new version (I'll show you later on - the backside of the hatch is the old version, I have the new version (I'll show you later on) - the muffler is standard, mine is not Since this is my first project, I guess it's going to take a while before I'm finished with correcting these problems No time to waste, let's get started... First, let's get this thing apart.. ![]() Let's put some primer on the bodyparts and sand them: ![]() ![]() Now for the back of the hatch, the old version is ribbed and the new one is flat: ![]() So I filled up the ribbs and sanded the back part of the hatch 'till it was smooth: ![]() Now letīs change the orange indicators to white, after some sanding and polishing: Now for the back lights, the old version is orange, red and white (left). The new version is only red and white (right): ![]() Here is the new version ![]() Now for the exhaust-muffler: Hereīs the one I made: ![]() Letīs start painting The color code for my real car is M0SB (metallic green), so I went to a Peugeot dealer and ordered M0SB in a spraycan. Check out the hood and one of the doors painted: ![]() Thatīs where my project is at the moment, Iīll update this thread as soon as Iīve got some news (itīll be real soon ) Steven. the Netherlands |

Thanx for your reactions, I'm very pleased with the paintwork too, especially because this is only the second time I'm using a spraycan for painting a model
I hope I can add some new pics today. Steven. |

Hi all,
I've got some new pics of my 205 project. Here's the roof, painted: ![]() and here's the backside of the car: ![]() The paintjob looks pretty dark on the pics, but that's because of the way how the sun shines on the body. Steven. |
